A date with ice and snow, traveling together with green mobility! 68 Yutong buses set out for Milan to support the grand winter event
On February 6, 2026, the world-class winter sports event opened jointly in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. This globally anticipated event brings together elite athletes from around the world. Off the field, 68 Yutong buses will offer efficient, comfortable, and zero-emission premium transport service, battling through snow and wind to ensure reliable transit for the event.
The games feature an innovative twin-city co-hosting model with a distributed competition area layout—four main zones and eight venues—each averaging over 250 km apart. This design maximizes the use of existing facilities and natural surroundings, and embodies a commitment to green and sustainable practices.

During the event, the public transportation system in each competition zone will face tremendous challenges in serving the huge number of ice-and-snow fans and visitors from around the globe. To address this, 68 Yutong new energy buses have been gradually integrated into the local public transport network as a key addition to transport capacity. To meet the significant transport demand during the event, and to tackle the challenges of narrow old urban streets and unique climate conditions, Yutong proposed a 'two large, one small' coordinated solution featuring the U12, E12, and E7S models, establishing a multi-scenario mobility matrix that caters to both long-distance transfers and urban micro-mobility needs.

Currently, 20 Yutong U12 and 8 Yutong E12 buses have been delivered and well deployed in succession, providing visitors and locals with a high-quality travel experience thanks to their enhanced cold resistance, superior safety, environmental friendliness, comfort, and intelligent features. Subsequently, 40 Yutong E7S buses will be deployed as needed. Featuring a compact body and spacious interior, their nimble design effectively adapts to the narrow streets of the old downtown, ensuring smooth "last mile" connectivity in urban travel.

During the event, all vehicles will operate with zero emissions and low noise, actively demonstrating the games' commitment to environmental protection. After the event, 68 Yutong buses will continue to support the local public transportation system, further contributing to the green and low-carbon transformation of urban mobility in Italy.
