Deep-rooted Localised Service, Empowering Local Talents
Yutong carries out overseas technical training across multiple African countries to consolidate global service foundation.
The value of a bus lies not only in vehicle delivery, but reliable full-life-cycle service, which is key for customers to gain stable revenue. This is why Yutong keeps investing in localised services.

Recently, Yutong has organised a series of technical empowerment training sessions in the DRC, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Tanzania and South Africa. Practical training was delivered to local technicians and partner teams to improve after-sales support and advance sustainable transport development across Africa.

African markets feature tough road and environmental conditions. Relying only on overseas engineers cannot guarantee fast response. Building localised services means transferring technical know-how locally, cutting troubleshooting time and reducing financial losses caused by vehicle downtime.

In DRC, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, the training combines theory and hands-on practice covering fault diagnosis, routine maintenance and spare-parts management. Standardised workflows adapted to local operating challenges help local teams keep fleets operational.

In Tanzania, training goes beyond basic repairs to build comprehensive after-sales capacity. It includes fleet operation analysis, fault-solving optimisation and spare-parts planning, helping partners develop complete maintenance thinking and protect operators’ business returns.

Against South Africa’s electrification drive, Yutong held special training for electric buses. Sessions cover high-voltage safety, battery and motor inspection as well as ECU diagnosis, filling the gap of local EV-skilled technicians and supporting public transport electrification.

Vehicle handover marks only the start of cooperation. Sustained and stable customer operation is Yutong’s core commitment. Guided by the strategy “model-site guidance, deep localisation, scaled replication and closed-loop service”, Yutong adopts the “Chinese expertise + local teams” model. Together with local spare-parts stock and remote technical backing, a complete support network is formed.

Going forward, Yutong will continue regular technical training in key African markets, perfecting the three-pillar local service system of spare parts, technical support and talent development. We deliver long-term value for overseas customers and jointly promote regional transport progress.
