Algeria: Delivering More Than Vehicles

In early 2026, the first batch of 650 Yutong buses arrived in Algeria—a landmark project in the North African market—with customized solutions adapted to local operating conditions. But delivery was only the beginning. Through its authorized distributor PENGPU, Yutong launched a comprehensive technical training program in Algeria, strengthening after-sales service standards across the country. From smart diagnostics to maintenance systems and technician development, Yutong is helping local teams build world-class capabilities—because a bus that runs reliably for years is worth far more than one that simply arrives.

Ethiopia & Nigeria: Building Local Capacity

Long before recent deliveries, Yutong had begun investing in Africa's industrial future. With KD factories in Nigeria and Ethiopia, Yutong has moved beyond product exports toward technology transfer and local capacity building. In Ethiopia, the partnership dates back to 2012, when Yutong signed a SKD order of more than 100 units, followed by a CKD order of more than 200 units in 2014. South Africa & Beyond: Empowering Local Teams

In July 2026, Yutong delivered a five-day professional maintenance training program in Johannesburg, guiding local partner technicians through electrical systems, air conditioning, engine overhaul and gearbox maintenance. The same month, technicians from multiple African countries completed a two-week technical training program at Yutong's Zhengzhou headquarters. With 87 service stations established across the continent, Yutong's localized service network is designed to respond quickly, keep buses on the road, and help African operators grow their businesses with confidence.
